Alexandra Zlateva
1. What do you study and what do you do?
I am currently studying Law at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" and I am in the third year of my studies. I am currently active in various clubs and societies of the university, which allows me to expand my knowledge beyond the core curriculum.For the second year I am part of the Board of Directors of an NGO that supports the professional qualification of law students and young lawyers. These extracurricular activities not only help me develop additional skills and knowledge in the field of law, but also give me the opportunity to build valuable contacts in the legal field.
2. Tell us about the NGO you are involved with?
Our goal is to increase legal awareness and modernize the training process. We are working hard to strengthen links between students and legal practitioners, in line with the standards of European integration and international cooperation.
3. What path do you want to take after you graduate?
I have not yet fully established a specific career path I would like to follow after graduation, as there are many opportunities ahead of me. However, I am sure that I would like to continue working and developing my career in the legal field.
4. What advice would you give to a girl who wants to follow in your footsteps?
I would tell her that it is important to explore the wide range of opportunities that the legal profession offers and to find the area that most excites her. My advice would be to look for internships and practicum opportunities that will give her practical experience in different areas. The importance of building a network of professional contacts should also not be overlooked. It is important to be persistent, ambitious and to keep striving to achieve the goals set, even when faced with challenges during her studies and career.
5. How did you find out about the club? What made you sign up?
I saw a hundred of Tommy on Instagram about a new women's club in Sofia and she had hinted about some of the events she will organize. It sounded super cool and I immediately applied. The funny thing is, I didn't get a response for a long time and wondered what was going on, and it turned out I had spelled my email wrong. I'm glad I didn't leave things like that and decided to email her to find out what the reason was. After contacting her, I realized what had happened and immediately joined the club.
6. Were you worried before joining the club?
To be honest, I didn't know exactly what to expect because I had never participated in anything like this before. I would rather say that I had no worries, on the contrary - I was very excited before my first event.
7. Which events have you been to?
I've been to over 20 of GOF's events, but my favorite is the Luso event for flower arrangement, aero yoga with dogs and the party on a yacht.
8. Did you make real friendships along the way? Did you meet interesting girls at the events?
I can say with certainty that I created. There are great girls in the club, with inspiring stories, interests, professions and hobbies.
9. How would you define the atmosphere of the club and the events?
I can say that the atmosphere is supercharging and motivating.
10. Why should the girl reading this article get involved?
